Forum Conduct

The Hand Engraving & Tools Forum is the friendly place for engravers, jewelers and metal artists. The forum is for sharing knowledge and learning to hand engrave with the most advanced methods and equipment.

In the interest of making this a pleasant place to be, please abide by the policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox, and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the forums index.

Policies

1. Please be courteous and positive in your posts. You are free to honestly offer your opinion, but please do so in a respectful manner.

2. Advertising or endorsement of schools, classes or instructors where power assisted engraving is taught but which do not include the Lindsay AirGraver equipment in the curriculum is not allowed on the forum. The schools that are listed on the classes page offer use of the Lindsay PalmControl AirGraver in the classroom and are endorsed by the forum. Steve Lindsay is committed to helping schools and instructors that have all brands of equipment available including the PalmControl. This allows students to become familiar with all the brands on the market so that they can decide what works best for them.

3. The forum is part of Lindsay Engraving & Tools business and customer support, therefore refrain from advertising competing companies products or services. Such posts may be edited or removed at the discretion of the moderator.

4. We want to build an inclusive archive of engraving help information. Toward that end, if possible please include your suggestions directly in your posts rather than providing links or references to other online sources, which can often become unavailable.  Posts that are entered on the forum become part of this achieve and will remain there indefinably as a resource to the public. 

An avatar sig with a link to your personal home page or to photos of your engraving work is welcome.  However, please no avatar sigs advertising organizations, religions or other forums. 

Although the administrators and moderators of Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Forum, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise volatile of any laws.
