Default Re: Foot control questions.

Being fairly new to engraving. I started out with a home made engraver with foot control, having never held one before I thought it was fine. Bought a cheap ball vice, used an optivisor, but bought Steve's sharpening system. The sharpening system kept me working without the frustration of improper geometry. After feeling fairly confident I was improving but seeing the limitations of the home made graver, I saved for the Palm control. Night and day difference in every way. Confidence grew, saved for a microscope. Still have the cheap ball vice and stool to set it on. The Palm control and microscope for me made it so much more enjoyable and easier to see my work and execute.
