Default Bryson Gwinnell Colt 1903 Hammerless

This early 1903 was recently restored and engraved by Bryson Gwinnell. It is an homage to the art nouveau sculptor Edward McCartan and pays honor to Brookgreen Gardens where several of his works are on display. Gwinnell also carved the stocks. The two sculptures are his interpretation of McCartan's two Dianas. On the top of the slide is his interpretation of Diana as sculpted by Anna Hyatt Huntington, founder of Brookgreen Gardens and a renown sculptress of the early 20th Century.

Very interested in your comments.

Bob,

That's a unique and impressive piece. I'm surprised it hasn't drawn any comment but then this part of the forum is not used much. I come to this forum almost every day but just visited this section today.

Roger
