Angry knives help

Hi y"all my question is regarding knife bolesters. I bought some cheapos to practice on, there stainless steel and have the slick coating, some line work starts off smooth then it seems to want to slide around screwing up my line. any advice would be appreciated...thx again Dean

Hi dean
Check to make sure your tip is not chipped
Sand anarea with 600 wet and dry paper
Try again
If this does not help try a lube like tap magic
Also. Try changing your face angle eg steepen it up
Slippage is usually bluntness of tip or hogging to deep
