I am not an engraver. I am a client and admire quality work. Ken Hurst and Ralph Bone have done a little work for me. I do most of my own metalwork, but no stockwork. I know my limitations. I hope to enjoy your forum.

Welcome Butch!
Careful though, you may catch the engraving bug!

Hi Butch,
Welcome here and maybe you could show your metal work?
Happy new years,

Daniel

Daniel,
Pictured below is my latest. It is a 6.5X47Lapua on a Pierce receiver.

It has a Lilja barrel machined octagon. I made the scope bases and installed a 3 pos safety. It has a Shilen trigger. It is a single shot and the trigger guard was fabricated.

This second photo shows the trigger guard and grip cap before rust bluing. James Anderson did the stock, rust bluing, and the rear iron sight. Ken Hurst did the engraving except for the bolt knob.

The 3rd photo shows some of Ken's scratching and the bolt handle. It is a combination of 2 handles tig welded together. Jerome Glimm engraved the bolt knob.

The last photo is the octagon banded front sight. I was very proud at the way it turned out. Being an amateur it tested my limited abilities.
Yes, it shoots very well.
Thanks for allowing me to show this.
Butch
