Jay, This is pretty cool. I wasn't sure what you meant by "nail art" but now I get it... fingernail art. Have you done a lot of these? Are there more you can post?

Steve
i have done alot of these, its more tricky when you have a woman connected
to the nail cause they move or twitch,i have done more big toes ,dolphins, oceans, and school mascots
i have a Christmas one to do of Saint Nick in a speedo holding a drink
and to do them ,you have the max of 20 minutes or women start moving too much to do anything fine ,i help my wife get free massages from the masotherapist by painting whatever she wants on her nails.but its fun
you never know what women will ask for to be painted
and its a plus to be around women
but most of the time i draw portraits of people, kids, their animals or homes
cool thanks steve for replying

Hey, why not "engrave" the outlines and fill in the lines with ink! Like Bulino or Scrimshaw? They won't chip, scratch or wear off!

Filling and buffing removes the design.

For really detailed work, I recommend bringing in your vise and clamping the finger in it! (just kidding there - I think) :>)

Jay, I think Danny is right.. You could be doing some scrim on nails too. Just scrim by itself, or a combination along with painting. Keep us posted and take pics. :hurray:

steve
to scrim on the nails would be cool
but its kinda impossible
cause when the plastic tip is placed on the nail
it has acylic brushed on from the cutical to the tip
and it would easily cover any scrim
than its filed,buffed
then its polished or pink and white
it takes about and hour and 15 minutes to half to do a full set
thats why if i get 20 minutes im lucky cause they wanta go

How about making up a set (scrimmed and/or painted or scrimmed with filled lines) and have them ready to go.

Slap them on and their out the door in under 20 min.
