Does such a thing exist? Is there a recipe for making your own? Who uses them and how? Are there any online tutorials or DVDs available for such? Can you use a 120 instead?

Hi Mike, For the BBC logo portion of this youtube video I use the Calligraphy template point.

The blue template the photograph is the calligraphy template.

Hi Bunic,
The calligraphy point is v 123 and is multi purpose. You can do lines and bevel also by tilting the graver right or left.

Steve,
That video is amazing! Rather, your ability to so masterfully use that tool to do such beautiful thick-thin work is. Tnx!

Can I purchase the template by itself or is it part of some package?

SE,
The concept is the same as normal calligraphy with pens, EXCEPT that the pen can be easily moved in both directions to get the thick/thin marks. Tnx!

I have watched this video a dozen of times and will watch it for a dozen more.
I learned so much from looking at what Steve does with this graver and how he uses a flat to get the roman lettering done to perfection.
What I did not know is that this is done with a calligraphy graver :biggrin[1]:
So here we go again, a new graver to learn to work with :whoo[1]:
