Hi,
I have been lurking here for a couple of months and having just received my new airgraver, I decided it was time I introduced myself. My name is Chap Walker and I have been making a living from Art for the last 13 years, and feel quite capable artistically, that is until I scratched up my first practice plate. This is definately not as easy as you guys make it look(and believe me, I have looked and looked at those youtube videos). Right now I have about a yard of flat iron that I am cutting into 3 inch pieces, and then practicing as per the Meeks book's recomendation. I am having a little trouble with depth control(my thumb is sore from running over burrs all day), and a little bit of a control issue that I think will resolve itself once I get a proper vice, instead of a lazy susan meant for cake decoration. :willy_nilly:
