Hello all my name is mike and I'm interested in learning this wonderful art of engraving I've messed around a little bit with air powered rotary and not happy with the results I'm mostly interested in large scale and would like to give an air graver a whirl ! Any advice also is appreciated I'm a total beginner ! I was a custom car painter and got hurt on the job at my full time job as a utilities worker and am looking for a new artistic trade !

Mike, I am in Lakeland Fl. I have a Lindsay Classic and Have a Palm control
available. Both are portable and can travel. If you would like to PM me I would meet you half way could let you try the pieces.

Hi Majikmike,

:welcome[1]: to the Engraving Forum.
I thought I will point out that creating working with air powered rotary hand pieces is a different "field" and engraving with an hand held air graver is a different "field" all together.
But the air rotary hand pieces experience is and can be incorporated in engraving using hand airgravers. It depends on what you prefer, either or both.
Good luck

Majikmike,

I live in South Florida, in Cutler Bay.

I have two of Steve's AirGravers, the Classic and the Chasing (with a Classic body) to keep them the same size.

If you live close by I could let you try them out if you want.

Let me know.

I just realized that this is an old message from last Oct. I imagine that you have tried it by now. If not, the offer is still open.

Regards,

Tim C
