Very nice work. do you use lines or like using dots all the time? great close up of your technique. I'm wondering if a solid line wouldn't give a darker contrast on the three round pieces with dot shading? Welcome and nice to see what you do, I trust we will get to see more in the future. I'm using only dots. Bone is heterogeneous and line isn't so predictable. line made by dots is smoother and I like it ![]() Simon. |

Beautiful work my friend. Is that a carved whale's tooth? Also, the knife handle shrim work looks very much like stone mason's work on old cathedrals. Am I right? I wish I could work even half as well as this. Thank you for sharing with us. Paul

Yes, you're right. Two of them(small and middle) are from cathedral windows. The last one is from my own project. This carved bone - you mean this at the top of the page? It's a camel bone and scrimshaw based on Alfons Mucha works.
