Useful
I have to post this. I hope the moderators don't have a long talk with me since this isn't engraving related and I posted it in the wrong section! But seeing how important this is, I hope I can slip it by them. Otto Carter forwarded this to me. Not everyone is into engines but if you are this is a must have. Somehow I'll bet my wife wouldn't see the joy in it in the backyard but that is ok.
Look at picture #2 and see if you see anything unusual down towards the lower part of the block. Any idea what those 2 knobs and tubing are for? Give up??? Scroll down to pictures 3 & 4. THE GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Useful
The very definition of "it's a guy thing". Mighty cool, my grill is due for replacement too....

Re: Useful
I'll have to ask Ray about this one, maybe he will let it go, just this time...

Re: Useful
It fits in just Great!!!
That is the most Neat Thing I've seen on any forum and get's us back to why we are here... To Share what ever we think anyone will enjoy or will help them with all the parts of engraving... I think SL's forum can handle such things... I watched this Forum before I was ready to buy a PC... I found Steve to be so helpful to answer any questions I had for his PC, and Ray Cover was helpful before I contacted Steve to buy one for he had them in his School, (which I have) I loved it and tried to get Steve to just bring one down to Ray's while I was there ( I'd pay the gas and hotel)... Too big of backlog or I think he would have run down to Ray's... I got the PC within 1 weeks... Thanks SL Hope to see you when we retire in 2008... Jerry |

Re: Useful
You'll have to engrave the valve covers to get yourself off the hook.

Re: Useful
First impression: Boy, if Steve can get away with posting his Chevy engine, I can post my Chevy eating DSS 306! What's up with that gauge in the intake manifold? Is that nitrous? Those Bow-Tie guys . . .
Second impression: That is by far the best use of a Chevy small block I've ever seen! I especially like the engine stand. And the injection rail on the side with the pressure regulators is too cool. I'm still looking for the beer tap. Must be on the other side. I gotta show this to my wife! She won't get it, but I gotta show her anyway. Christmas is coming . . . Thanks Steve! Thanks Barry and Ray for letting him get away with it! This IS one of the most important posts I have seen on ANY forum in a long time. (See what you got to deal with when you delegate, Steve?) |

Re: Useful
Notice the bow-tie emblem in the middle of the grill. I'll bet a steak with a bow-tie branded on it would taste extra good. And you know another name for a branded steak don't you? Steak engraving! Steak with engraving is combining two of the most important things particularly when they can be made with a small or big block motor.

Re: Useful
So I want toknow how he machined out the block to get one large cavity. It is too clean inside. It took alot of work some how.
