Default Ride

Those of you who know me know that I have been working on my Model A roadster pickup that I bought in '56 and started this rebuild in "89. Well, this morning, Father's Day, I took my first ride in it in 45 years. Boy, did that feel good! Now maybe i can get some engraving done. (just joking).

Sam

Morning Sam, Happy Father's day!
That is pretty fun about the ride. 45 years was a long wait. When you take your entire car apart and engrave it, no wonder it took 45 years. Are there local car shows coming up that you'll be taking it to?

Happy Father's day!

Great to hear it Sam, got it chugging along, next you need a hat and riding coat.
I'll have to get the old pictures out of the Model A Swamp Buggy's that a friend of my fathers used to build. I have a picture on the wall of one from the late 50's or early 60's of one, it's one of the Buggy's my Dad owned.

Almost every one of his Buggy's had Model A engines in them, high torque with low RPM's. He would stack two transmissions together behind that little four on airplane tires. In 1st gear on both trany's it would chug along at walking speed. If it couldn't go over it, it would knock it down.

I can still hear that puppy chugging along through the swamps. When you hear one of those little engines, you never forget the sound, it doesn't sound like any other engine made.

Enjoy your toy.
Tim
