Default Another Knife

Here is the second knife I have been working on. Decided to not deal with the background this time. I am looking forward to that stainless spyderco...

Thanks for looking.

Take care,

Tom

Nicely done Tom. I especially like the blossom design and shading.

Tom,
Like the soft effect of no background removal on this one, very classy and not overstated, you also seem to have your own "look" going, always like to see that.

Thanks Scott.

A few years ago, when i was looking for a design to put on an 1873 rifle, i was just bored of the big American scroll look. I came across some of the vine and leaf engraving in some of the engraving books I can look at at work, and I really liked it. I have seen variations of it on Colt pistols from the early 1900's also. I decided to experiment with it, and plan to keep after it. I like some of the more abstract scroll designs like many of the engravers on this site do. I have chosen to try and always have some basic tendril elements in all of my work, as a signature design feature.

Take care,

Tom
